    Question Battery connection

My Dewalt drill is approximately 5 yrs. old. Over the past 6 months when I changed batteries, the drill did not work. I checked the battery and it was charged, and then I noticed that when I reinserted the battery and pulled it out slightly it worked. However, this does not allow the battery to be locked. Any thoughts on what the problem might be?

    Hey duffy,
The battery clips on the switch bay be bent or just not engaging the battery..or the housing itself is not holding the battery in securely..
