Default help w/ troubleshooting roofing nailer

I have a BOSTICH RN 46 NAILER that is feeding every other nail. Will a rebuild kit take care of this problem?. I have disassembled the feed piston assbly and cleaned it. Every thing looks good(no nicks or flat spots on o-rings). Are there any other things that could cause this problem?

Thanks

Mike

A broken feed spring could be part of the problem but usually misses all not every other. The most likely cause is a worn piston o ring. The piston is not being pulled back up with each shot. If you have had a broken o ring or bumper the problem can be "trash" in the supply line from the body to the feeder valve. When the gun cycles, the exhaust goes to the feed valve to power it. It will blow any particles in the body into the supply line, and not let enough air pass to power the feed valve. Ken
