I have a makita cordless drill model 6343D, 18V. The drill will only work in reverese. I have open it up and to see if there was any loose wires. The only thing I know to do is to replace the switch.
I also have one of the batteries will not charge. Can bsatteries be recondiction so they can take a charge, A local company here said they can do it. Any tips or advice on these 2 matters anyone? I'm a newbie tot his site. |

Hi cvh0828,
I would also blame the switch. The internal piece that changes polarity has broken and is stuck in reverse. The new switch is part #651968-9. I have heard mixed results about battery rebuilding. It seems to be a new and popular business right now. Some say it works great, others have found said that the new batteries didn't last very long. There is an OEM replacement battery available for your drill. It is part #192827-3. I hope this helps! -UtahAV -Mark |
