Hi Sunshine,

If the engine is consuming oil and blowing white smoke it would indicate that there is wear to the piston and the cylinder. You will need to rebuild the engine. There will usually be a "short block" available the will replace the crankcase assembly and the cylinders. It would save you quite a bit of work.

It the smoke it is blowing is black that would indicate fuel mix problems and a whole other set of issues related to the carburetor.
