Angry 4 stars Ryobe Table saw

I purchased a Ryobe BTS15 table saw rip fence lock down handle keeps breaking. I called Ryobe about this to get the part that I needed. While it was under warranty there was no problem
They sent me the correct part with no problem. But the same part broke again so I called they checked their records and said that my saw was nolonger under warranty. And there was nothing they could do,and to day the rip fence is still broken I can't use it I also had one of the wrenches break trying to removing the nut from the blade so I could change it to the dato blade when the wrench broke, I called Ryobe about this and told them that it was nolonger under warranty, I ask if they had a wrench in stock and how would it be. They said there is no warranty ,there's nothing they could do and hung up on me. I think they may have a design flaw. And the need to learn pubic relations.

I don't have the model # at hand but a similar thing happened to me with the lock down handle. Mine has a piece of rubber which compresses against the rail. The rubber breaks down rapidly! I made my own fix by cutting a strip of inner tube to the width and length to fit the handle where the normal piece should be, I then applied contact cement and fixed it in place. It's still doing fine. Perhaps this may work for you. Good luck!
