Poulan fuel line replacement

I bought some fuel line to fix my chainsaw-I can't figure out how to feed the line into the tank to the fuel filter.

Cut the end of the fuel line on an angle so it comes to a sharp point. Feed it into the hole as far as possible. Grab the end of the line thru the fuel fill hole with a pair of (long as possible) locking hemostat pliers and pull enough out of the fill hole to cut square. Attach the filter or leave as is and pull the line back to where it needs to be in the tank.
