I asked a guy I know who has worked for Black & Decker forever and he says it looks like a 3047-09 Super Sawcat. Here's a link to the parts:
Black and Decker 3047-09 Parts List and Diagram - Type 1 : eReplacementparts.com There are a few different versions of that tool. Is there a type number visible anywhere on it? |

I've been trying to refine my search, I've searched just about everywhere for sawcats and found there are many different versions. i.e. I believe when B&D started to call them "super" they where actually a tool more geared to homeowners then a pro quality saw.
If any of you all know where I could find one... |

In many cases those older saws are built better than anything new. Unfortunately the vast majority of parts for that saw are discontinued and cannot be purchased now. There's probably no way to build one out of parts. To find another one you might want to try eBay but it's a long shot. If you want to try and repair an existing saw I can look for parts but I'll need to know which parts you need for the repair.

I just ran the number through the DeWalt system. Appears to be a good number, lists it as a knob, it is however discontinued. Your bet bet is to call local repair shops, the older the better, and see if they happen to have one laying around.
Good luck with your hunt! -UtahAV -Mark |
