ryobi r700 trimmer

can anyone tell me why this trimmer will run for about 5 sec and then quit? I have changed the gas lines so far still no good:confused

Hey loren,
sorry for the late response..make sure you have the correct mixture of gas..[new]
check to see if the muffler is plugged..[sometimes a bad oil/gas mix will plug the exhaust muffler over time] also check your plug..
