Default 5 stars Ryobi Model Identification

Looking for help narrowing down a Ryobi string trimmer model number. I've noted all the part numbers on the machine but none match the tools on the site.

    OEM Model 700r "EZ"
    S/N: 806291625
    PPN: 501136
    Engine Family: SN4031UB24RA;EM

There are more than half-a-dozen 700r's listed with model numbers not like the ones above. Any way of translating my info to the numbers on this site?

    Thanks for the help!

The numbers we have listed on our site are called the Item Number, and you can find it on a sticker underneath the motor's plastic housing.

In case you have a hard time finding that sticker, I am working on trying to convert your serial number to narrow down exactly which breakdown you should use, but it may take me a while. If you can tell me exactly which part you're looking for, I can probably get you the correct part number for it pretty quickly in the meantime.

    Default Ryobi 700r Cross Ref.

Thanks Michael - I'll look again at the trimmer but didn't see any number like those without disassembly.
I'm looking for the recoil pulley assy. I think it's the same on the 700rs - P/N 75304232 (replaces 791181597).
Thanks for the reply and the help

Looks like every 700r uses the same Recoil Pulley Assembly, and it's the part number you listed:

    eReplacementParts.com : Recoil Pulley Assembly [753-04232] - $12.98

I'm still working on getting the proper breakdown, but all of these versions (including a couple of versions we don't have on our site yet) use the same part number for this.

    Default 700r Starter Assy

Michael - Thanks again for your help. I'd like to get a carb kit also. In spite of a new plug "she's" been a little hard to start. Used to wrench on small engines for a living years back and experience tells it it's time for the kit!
Looking forward to your info on the cross-reference.

    Best regards,
    Scott

Look like most of the 700Rs have the option of either a Zama or Walbro carburetor repair kit - even within the same item number and serial number ranges. The breakdown for that specific serial number lists both repair kits as options. If you can narrow down which brand of carburetor your trimmer is using, you should be able to pick up one of these two:

    eReplacementParts.com : O.E.M. Carburetor Repair Kit (Zama) [791-180090] - $25.64

    eReplacementParts.com : O.E.M. Carburetor Repair Kit (Walbro) [791-180602] - $30.80

    Hope this helps!

    Default Trimmer Identification

Hi Michael - any luck crossing the s/n over to a model #? I've taken the unit apart and looked everywhere for the ID you described - no joy. I do have the Walbro Carb and you gave me that kit number.

I still need the part number for the string gaurd assy.

Again, the numbers/codes on the stickers I find are:

    MDL: Ryobi 700R "EX"
    S/N: 806291625 PPN: 501136

    On the opposite side:

    4A6987
    806-5152979

    Thanks,
    Scott
