    Default wrong parts

    Hey startershop,
You may have the wrong model # tag on the machine...a few years back I had the same problem...Makita informed me of some knock off tools that a bogus company was selling off the back of trucks in parking lots[they looked like makita tools and some of them really were but the tags were taken off of trashed tools and attached to these only the perps did not know how to match up..] You might want to post a pic of the tool for identification or just have the brush's matched up at a local shop or service center..[cap also]
also check the brush for any #s it may have..
    hope this helps..?

I would have to agree with cmoorejack on this one. I have seen several counterfeit Makita tools over the years. Most are small rotary hammers. I have seen a few with model tags on them from Makita Impact drivers.

    Sorry they got ya.
