The replacement number is 242735-00 and the number stamped on the original part is 242252 2. Are they the same part?

The part # listed for your particular tools model number should be correct. The number stamped or printed directly on many replacement parts is often only used by the manufacture. Many times a replacement part is made up of several smaller parts. To the manufacture each of those smaller pieces will also have a part number. It is that number that you usually see stamped on the part.
