Default Delta 31-730 need part for electric motor

The motor's cooling fan is damaged. I bought the tool used and that 'clanking noise' was the fan spinning on the shaft. Knocked all the blades off the fan. I'm not sure how much good the fan actually does and I tend to run the machine in short bursts, not all day but I do us it sand down thin wall steel tubing (need perfectly flat joints for easy welds). sooo...

The part is not shown on the drawings for the 31-731. In fact, no electric motor is. The original motor was wired for 220V. I've rewired it for 110.

The motor says "delta' No. 62-129
    # Motor :1 1/2 HP, 115/230V, 60Hz
    # RPM : 3450
    # Shaft : 5/8" Single
    # Frame Size : NEMA 56

I just need the cooling fan that mounts internally (under the back cover) and of course a new set screw (can find that one easy)

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi con_fuse9,

The motor would have been manufactured by another company. Delta wouldn't be able to provide parts for the motor. Your best bet would be to remove what is left of the fan hub and fan cover and take them both with you to a local motor shop. Most motor shops will harvest fans and such off of bad motors. They will likely have a fan laying around that will work with your motor.

    Good luck with your motor!
