    Hi eagleman1963,

Most manufactures have quit offering model number tags for sale due to tool counterfeiters. There are some dishonest folks out there that will take extremely cheap, very poorly constructed tools then purchase the model number stickers from name brand tools and try to pass the tool off as a new, quality tool. I have seen many counterfeit Makita tools over the years. Because these counterfeit tools end up giving the name brand manufacture a bad image most have stopped offering the stickers for sale. The common practice at repair shops is to write the important info from the old tag onto the tool with an engraving tool.

I hope this answers your question.]
