Default Installing 220V armature and field

Hello, I'm thinking to convert a 110volt 690series porter cable router into 220v version.
What i figured out is that i basically need to replace 110v armature and field with 220v ones, plus small things like cable, etc.
Acually there would not be much trouble as there is a 86902 motor on the market which is 220v version but what i need is the whole thing to be a variable speed tool like 690LRVS. And 86902 motor has no speed control/

I found necessary replacement parts which are Field-220 Part Number: 874589 and Armature-220 Part Number: 874588. But it is shown that these only fit single speed motors, not VS ones.
So the question is whether speed control will remain functional on a 110v variable speed tool if armature and field are replaced with 220v ones.

Any advice or help is appreciated
