    Default Unisaw 3hp 1ph motor

    Hi there, I am looking for a 3hp 1ph Rockwell replacement motor with a Frame 184YZ. I looked for one and eReplacementParts came back with nothing/ not a good number for Rockwell or Delta. Only found a 2 hp. I dont want a 2hp . Need a 3hp motor. Can anybody HEP me. Thanks, mjgord

    Hello mjgord,

    If your Unisaw has an oval opening for the motor. You have what is called a repulsion induction motor. It is a older style motor which utilizes a armature,field and brushes. Almost round in shape.You probably have no chance on finding a motor like that. You can use the motor that Rockwell/Delta has using for years, it is part number 438023146201. If you have the old style cabinet with oval opening you will need to make it a square opening to allow for the new style motor.

    My cabinet has a square' esh hole & I would not ever thing of cutting the cabinet up just to put something that was Never installed in the first place,The original motor in it now is a Rockwell Motor # 83-651, Would like the same for replacement, Thanks anyway
