dewalt 307M sawzall

How can I fix a Dewalt reciprocating saw, DW307M. The quick blade release on the side opens but does not release the blade.is there a manual on how to take apart, I can buy a new one for less than I can get this one repaired for at a repair shop, Thanks for any help Phil472

Hey phil472,
check out the parts breakdown at ereplacementparts.com..#33 clamp pin just pulls out and then everything else can be removed..you will probably need to at least replace the steel ball #38..and the spring..#37..[sometimes the ball and slider gets rusted and stuck and you just need to clean..but since your already in there just get the new parts..!]...
