Just to let you know. . . A couple weeks ago I wrote you about a problem with my C2006 compressor not shutting off. I took your advice and replaced the pressure switch with one identical to the original. The compressor still popped the safety valve before shutting off. I removed the safety valve and was able to make out that it was a 167psi valve (popping off at around 145psi). Every hardware store I went to had safety valves that were rated at 150psi, none had any 167 or even 165psi. I finally found a tool and small engine repair shop (independent) that just happened to have a 165psi valve, used. He assured me that if it wasn’t any good he would have tossed it out, but since it was used he would not accept anything for it. I went home and installed it in the compressor and it works just fine now. As for the pressure switch. . . I’m not tearing the thing back apart, I guess I have a spare pressure switch now if ever I need it.

Thanks for the update..I am glad you got your problem resolved....[I rechecked my post and read that I also recommended you replace the safety valve..just making sure I gave you enough complete information..! ]
