Default 5 stars 10 Delta Compound Slide Saw

Cannot get the Bolt loose that fastens on the Blade. Any ideas how I can get it loose? The locking pin to keep the blade from turning also doesn't work. The bolt head is also rounded from trying to loosen it.

    Default get loose

    Hey jw,
Aside from using a air impact wrench..Try it old school and nudge up a block of wood against the teeth of the blade and then try and loosen..also you can put something solid between the teeth and the table that will keep the blade stationary as you loosen.[screwdriver?] as far as the bolt head being rounded that is another issue..if it severely rounded,a pipe wrench may work..[a small one] or a chisel knocking it loose..UGH
    hope this is helpful..?

I might be stating the obvious, but did you remember that most of these have left hand threads, I only know this from trying to take it off the wrong way until completely frustrated. My standard miter saw doesn't have a locking pin and jamming a peice of wood under the blade for one direction and small diamter screwdriver shaft between the teeth for the other direction was the onlt way I could hold it. A small C clamp on the blade might also work.
