Default Stubborn belt pully dw708 Miter saw

How do I get the bottom belt pully off without damage.
I tried a gear puller but the clamping jaws are too big.

    Default pulley removal

The power tool industry uses a OTC #1020 that has small enough jaws to get behind the pulley..but you still have to be careful not to damage the pulley and also the center of the the shaft...! Without the special puller you can also try to use 2 screwdriver tips to get behind and force the pulley off carefully..this may be one for a repair center to perform..[usually the top or shaft end bearing fails and needs to be replaced..this is also a repair center job because of the difficulty of removal..!]
    Hope this has been helpful..
