Smile 5 stars Skil miter saw

I have an old Skillsaw miter saw with a stuck switch. I tried to look it up but everywhere I look states it is obsolete and not available. Is there something else I can use or replace it with?

    Hi a. palmer jr.,

What is the model number of your miter saw? I would like to see if I can find a parts breakdown for it.

    Thanks!

The model number as far as I can make it out is 3810. I understand there are Type 1 and Type 2 but I don't know which it is. Probably use the same trigger switch anyway. Thanks

Well I did some looking and the switch is discontinued with no replacement. You might try removing the switch and taking it to your local power tool repair shop. They may be able to match it to another switch that would work.

    Good luck!

I guess I could just use about any ac 120 switch to turn it on with. I suppose it doesn't necessarily have to fit in the handle, although it's preferred. I am going to take the handle apart and see if I can repair it first.
