I have a Dewalt DC920 XRP cordless drill. The transmission slips which tells me it's broken and needs to be replaced. This is the second transmission in this drill. Why does it keep breaking? Is it cheaply made with plastic gears? Is there a better quality transmission I can purchase with all metal parts? I'd pay double as long as it lasts. Is this a common problem with these drills?
