SkilSaw Guide Piece Replacement

I recently bent the foot of my Skil 5155 circular saw. I have ordered a replacement guide piece, but I 'm stuck as far as swapping out the old foot for the new guide piece.
There is a coiled spring pin at the front of the saw (part # 2610341332) that I can't figure out how to remove from the saw (without breaking it.)
Any suggestions about how the coiled spring pin is removed from the saw (and then reattached with the new foot)?

You need to knock it out with a hammer and punch.
