    Question Blade Removal

I have recently purchased a used Rigid 10" chop saw, Mod. MS 1065LZ. I am having a difficult time removing the blade. Do I turn clockwise or counterclockwise to remove? It is so tight, that I fear that I may damage something if I try to turn it too hard in the wrong direction. Thanks for any suggestions.

I finally got smart and found an online manual for my saw which told how to remove the blade - turning the screw clockwise. It had apparently been overtightened using an automotive lug wrench, but I got the screw broken loose. I replaced the batteries in the laser guide and now all is well.
