Delta Saw Won't Start

My Delta 36-070 miter saw will not start.
I checked cord and brushes but have no other idea.
I will be grateful to receive any response.

Hi sirmjk,

I would check the switch next. That would be my guess. If the switch tests out OK then you will need to look at the motor itself. You will probably need to get a motor shop involved at that point. They will have the tools needed to test for a faulty armature or field.

Hi,
I did check the switch which seems OK. I guess you are probably right in that I should
have it checked out by a repair shop.
