    Default carb problem

    rbc201. machine does not get to full revs. repair man says its the carb. any hints what could be the carb problem?

    This could simply be a carburetor adjustment issue. Leaning out the hi needle will increase the RPM's. I would take it to a different shop and ask them to adjust the carb. I don't recommend adjusting a carb yourself as irreversible damage can occur to the engine if the carb is adjusted too lean.

    If the trimmer is hard to start or runs poorly when it is running then the carb will likely need to be cleaned or rebuilt. We have an article and video that shows how to clean a carb. You can find it here...
