Repairing a Makita 6095D clutch
The clutch will not work, broke or slipped out of place. Since the clutch will not work I can not take the chuck off. I took the screw out, put an allen wrench in the chuck, ran it in reverse to try to pop the chuck loose so I could get to the clutch. But the chuck slips since the clutch does not work...In between a rock and hard place here.

Hi Charly,
Unfortunately there is no easy fix for this problem. Your best bet is to sacrifice the change ring, part #410936-9. Carefully cut the ring off of the drill. Then you can open the housings. Clamp the spindle, with the chuck attached, in a vise with some soft jaws so that you don't damage the spindle. Now you can remove the chuck for reassembly after the clutch repair.
I hope this helps with your repair!
