Assemble Poarter-Cable 325VS Belt Sander

I just replaced the drive belt on my Porter-Cable 325VS Type 6 Belt Sander, but now I can't get the housing to fit back in place. The plastic dust baffle over the fan is interfering. I have spent a good hour trying to position it properly. Nothing appears to be bent or broken. Is there a trick to this?

I've just been sitting here struggling with the same problem after my husband spent an hour cursing at it yesterday! I looked here to see if I could find a solution, and then went off to check the parts pictures......

I've got mine back together, finally, by putting the little piece of the dust baffle that sticks forward at about where the number 7 is on a clock. It needs to fit into the place on the casing just below that bottom left screw point - there's an open area in the casing that it fits into. Hope this helps!
