cuts in and out while running

I have a Skil Reciprocating saw model 9200, I have to click the switch several times to get it to run and then it cuts out, sometimes starts back up?? the brushes seem to be fine they are about 1 1/4 inches long and nice smooth wear, no chips or cracks, this saw also has a variable speed governor dial type wheel. My guess is the switch is bad but want to make sure before I order repair parts. Thanks Ken

Mine had the same problem. When I tore it down, there was a loose connection to one side of the coil. I crimped on a new connector and everything was fine.
