Ryobi BC30 dead

Have had this trimmer for almost two years. Used it not continuously. The other day while working with the edger adapter suddenly it stop and went dead. Changed spark plug but noticed no spark coming when pulling the rope. Any suggestions please? Thanks.

Hi Richard,

No spark is usually an indication of a bad ignition coil. I would first check for spark with a spark tester. If the spark tester confirms that spark is not present then the coil will be the problem. The ignition coil is part #850080001 and is available from http://ereplacementparts.com.
