The only way to start my unit is to spray starter fluid in.Once I let up on throttle, engine stops. I think it needs a carburetor rebuild kit. Is there one available? Could it be anything else? New gas, new plug installed.

Hi Larry,

It sounds like a clogged carburetor to me as well. There is no carb kit available for this trimmer. You will need to simply replace the carb. It is also a good idea to replace the air filter at the same time. The carburetor is part #308054003 and the air filter is part #98760. Both are available from http://ereplacementparts.com.
