Will all DeWalt 14.4V batteries interchange?

Hi Bill,

Yes, all of the 14.4 Volt batteries will work with the 14.4 Volt tools. If you are upgrading to a different battery, such as the Lithium Ion batteries, you may need to replace your charger as well. The charger for your NiCD batteries wouldn't charge the lithium batteries, you would need to purchase a new charger. The new charger for the lithium battery would also be able to charge all of your nickel based batteries.
