Default Tight bearing on my Dewalt DW708. miter saw

Hi. Can anyone help me. I have a Dewalt DW708-GB miter saw and I need to replace the bearing on the armature and fan. I am having problems removing the old bearing (part no. 330003-48) from the shaft. I have already removed the ring spiral but the bearing doesn't want to budge. I would be grateful of any advice.

    Default bearing removal

    Hey Stuart,
That bearing is pressed on pretty tight..! I actually have to put the bearing in the jaws of a bench vise and break the outer casing..[cover the whole thing with a rag so flying pieces don't go everywhere]..once it is broken and all you have left is the inner race you need to use a bearing splitter clamped on the race and use a puller [be careful not to damage the threads in the center of the shaft..i put the screw back in and use that for the puller..]or place in a hyd press..ugh..that is how tight that thing is on..! before i put the new bearing on I chuck up the armature in a drill press and emery cloth the shaft so the new bearing is not so stressed..if you don't have the means of doing this you may have to take in or send to your nearest service center for them to do..
    hope this has been helpful..
