band saw wheel tire

I purchased a bs901 band saw wheel tire and it seems to be way too small to fit on the wheel. It doesn't stretch much so do I have to heat it or just pull harder to stretch it over the wheel?

Hi Ken,

New bandsaw tires can be a challenge to install! Heating it will make it more flexible and help with install. The installation is made much easier with a helper too. It is much easier to do wit four hands pulling instead of two!
