    Default weak saw

It doesn't have enough power to cut wood.

    Hello,

There are a few reasons that the saw would be short on power. First, using too long of an extension cord will limit the amount of current to the saw which will cause a loss of power. This will also create heat in the motor and can damage the field and armature.

A damage field or armature will cause a loss of power. There will usually be sparks from the motor, an electrical smell and even smoke.

If the gears are badly worn they can cause a loss of power. The gears might only be making enough contact with each other to spin the blade without a load but then slip under load.

I hope this will point you in the right direction!
