What is the function of the printed circuit board in the switch housing of the TS2400LS Table Saw. I think it is defective and would like to know if the saw would operate without it in the circuit. If yes, what would the consequences be for bypassing this circuit?

Hello,

The circuit board controls the soft start and feedback functions of the saw. Without it the saw will start with a jolt and will not seem as powerful. The feedback part of the board maintains a consistent blade speed as a load is applied, makes it at more powerful and produces better quality cuts. The hard starts will also reduce the life of the motor.

The new circuit board is part #829971-7 and is available from http://www.ereplacementparts.com.
