Wheel Replacement

I recently purchased a wheel for the PCE1700 power washer. How do you remove the cap to replace the wheel?

Hi Ryan,

The cap is a type of fastener called a push nut. It has a couple of tabs inside that grab a groove milled in the axle. To remove it you just simply pry it off. It can not be reused once it is removed so don't worry about damaging it. The replacement push nut is not offered by Porter Cable any longer but push nuts are very common. You should be able to find a suitable replacement at a local hardware store or home center.
