    Default charging the battery

The battery for my #2567 drill won't charge anymore. Could the power supply, #92590, have died? It doesn't light up anymore when plugged in.

    Hi Dennis,

It sounds like the charger has gone bad. This style of charger doesn't have any of the circuitry to protect it from a shorted out battery that many of today's more advanced chargers have. Because of this if you plug a shorted battery into the charger the bad battery will destroy the charger. You will need to have your batteries tested before you replace the charger to ensure that a bad battery doesn't also ruin your new charger. A local repair shop should be able to test your batteries for you.

The new charger is part #2607225367 and is available from http://www.ereplacementparts.com.

    Good luck with your repair!
