    Default smoking batteries

    Howdy folks.

    My dc925 started acting up again, on Friday this time. Whenever I place a battery in, it starts smoking and heating up extremely quickly. Not good! Any ideas? Switch? Transmission maybe? I'm a plumber by trade so this puppy is my essential tool. If anybody could help I'd be much appreciative. Thanks

    The switch is most likely shorted.
