    Cool Pulling Bearing

I need to pull the bearing off of the brush end of the armatur for a Makita LS1020 10" Miter Saw. What Bearing Puller tool do I need to use and how do I get one? Can't use a standard-grab-from-the-bottom puller because here is no room to get between the bearing housing and insulator disk.

the easy way would be to take a pair of cutters and cut the plastic out of the way , then use the puller.or u can us a pair of dikes and try to pry it off.crush the bearing outter race and then use ur puller on the inner race.hope that helps

I would think a bearing separator would be easier than smashing the bearing. I have used a bearing separator to pull bearings off the armature before with good results. You can find a decent priced one on ebay or here Bearing Separator - Pullers and Bearing Splitters - Pullers and Separators - Hand Tools : Grainger Industrial Supply. They go under the bearing and then you use a puller on them.
