How do you remove the chuck?

Place the drill in a vise, with a wrench or pliers get a hold of the shaft right behind the chuck and take a soft hmmer and give it a few sharp hits. If you are lucky it will break loose, if not you have to change the whole front end. Mine was loaded with thread lock but I got lucky. I had talked to the factory service rep and that's how he said do.
