Dc920 dewalt locked up
I work at a manufacturing plant, and we use a lot of dewalt tools. From time to time, I help out in the toolroom when I am caught up on my office work. They have a drill that was brought in that was #1 overheated, which led to it locking up I assume, because now the drill is locked up.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

If the drill did overheat and motor stinks, the armature and brush holders have seperated and the can motor needs to be replaced. If the motor did not heat up your problem could be in the gear box.
Pull the can motor and try to try the small gear on the end of it. If it moves then it might be ok. Hook it up to the switch and see if works ok.
