Does the piston chamber get filled with oil? If so how much and what type?

Just wanted to revive this question! (2012 FEB.) My problems is exactly like PAT's, no striking/hammer action! Maybe Cmoorejack can possibly HELP?!

Hi Pat and Villaroj,
What your going to have to do is remove the the front striker assembly and find the problem.It could be a number of things but replace your o-ring as sets or in other words don't replace what looks worn as the o-ring all have ware on them and replacing one or two will only half fix the problem. Once you have disassembled the striker assembly you will need to clean it and be able to see what of any hard parts are broken.Most of the time this will be obvious.Example would be a broken connecting rod or frozen striker.Once you find the problem ,replace the part and use the Service Pack Part Number: 1617000036 and reassemble.I wish I could give you a simpler way but the way I'm explaining is the right way to repair this tool so as not to have recurring problems with it.hope this helps.Good luck.
