Default Cable or Bushing Housing Assembly

My Ryobi 705r (41AD705G034) sporadically turns the Bushing Housing assembly which makes the trimmer string go round and round (rotate) so as to "cut" my grass. My long wire "cable" with the squared off end is either worn (looks like it is) or the square "hole" in the Bushing housing assembly is worn. To me it looks like the "cable" is worn so that it slips and doesn't turn the housing assembly.

I didn't see the "cable" in your online diagram. Is it available and how much does it cost and is it difficult to replace? Any instructions available if that is the problem? I did see the bushing housing assembly part A12.

Is there any way to tell for sure if it is the "cable" or the Bushing Housing Assembly so I know which part to replace?

    Thank you,
    Tom Carlson

Tom, I believe 9A is the cable, listed as the flex drive shaft
