Just received the parts I ordered, and noticed that there is a slight difference in the lifting rod. The new one has a flattened area about an inch long, whereas the original has only what appears to be a saw cut. On re-reading the parts diagram I see a note that the original (pt#260078913) is shown as discontinued. Would changing the original "sliding piece" to part #2602317053 work, or is it a lost cause?
