    Default Pressure relirf valve?

As soon as I turn the water on after hooking a hose to the unit, water begins to spray out what looks like to be some sort of relief valve. It is spring loaded and is white plastic. If I push in on it, the water flow almost stops but as soon as I let it back out, it begins to spray. I didn't see any such part listed in the parts list.

I just did some research. I have a XR2500 - 0 same thing happened to me. The same part you described failed. The hosing the spring and white plastic disc cracked. I looked up on part schematic where the piece came from. It too only calls for a plug 3/8" . Fine print states that as of 01/04 that the thermal valve (which is the valve you described ) is no longer required, and it ha been replaced by a simple plug $4 - $5 part. Hope this helps.
