Fuel lines
I have a Ryobi BC30. I believe the problem is that the fuel lines from the tank are not sealed were they come through the tank. Fuel leaks from this point and I think it also affects the fuel air mixture to the engine. I have tried everything I can think of to seal it. the problem is nothing sticks to the fuel tank - - not glues - - not caulk - - nothing. Also, could you tell me what the function is if each of the two lines going t the tank and the position of the lines in the tank. What is wrong and how do I fix it? Thank you

Hi Robert,
The fuel lines form their own seal where they pas through the tank. I would suspect that your fuel lines are old, hard and brittle which is allowing the fuel to spill. Their really is no way to replace just the lines on this design. The new fuel tank assembly comes with the lines pre-installed making for a simple repair. It is part #308181005.
There are two lines for the priming system. The feed line is the one with the in-tank filter on it. It is the one that feeds fuel into the carburetor both while priming or running. The other line is the return line. When priming the carb only uses a small amount of the fuel that flows into it. The rest is returned into the gas tank through the return line.
I hope this helps!
