Repair Makita DC1411

I am suspicious that my "old" Makita DC1411 charger is defective. Two (!) new batteries after one use did not re-charge, yet the LED indicated that the charging process was in progress and after some hours completed. Is a repair of the charger possible/advisable? I just read (on this site) that the charger has apparently a fuse inside that I have not checked.

I am having the same problem. I'm wondering if you bought a new charger? When I took mine apart, the fuse was OK. I didn't know chargers could go bad, but when I look at the circuit board, I see I could have a bad component. The lights all seem to be working ok.... so?
