When the saw is at no load it draws about twice the current and there is major sparking at the brushes. How can I decide what needs to be replaced, the rotor or the stator? With the brake winding disconnected, the rotor slowly decelerates when the RUN switch is released. No winding has conductivity to the frame or lamination's. The winding resistances seem within range, and there is no apparent burned or charred insulation.
