MK 100 Clanking motor
I was just cutting along the other day and a loud clanking started coming from the motor. Is this a bearing issue? My MK Diamond MK-100 saw has seen a lot of action. Worth fixing? Thanks.

This just happened to mine. I had lost the allen screw that held the pulley on the blade shaft. It ended up damaging the shaft. The parts press off/on, so I purchased a new shaft and pulley and repaired it. Given the cost of a new saw, it was well worth it. About $30 to repair. You will need a bearing puller, and a way to press the shaft out if it is damaged, if you have the same problem that I had.
