My shopvac 90m300 also does not turn on. Took apart down to the bare motor, and found that there is a small half inch long metal bar that is loose between two of the motor winding posts. When I tried to solder the bar to the post, the bar melted and is now a pool of what looks like solder. Currently looking for the bar to replace.
